Finishing

A same product can have a diffrent look just by modifying the final surface.

What kind of surface can we do ? Well, almost anything, but here is the surface people usually asked :

  • Satin

  • Rought

  • Brush

  • Diamond cut

  • Laser engraved

  • Color enamel

And if you need special color we can also propose to you a large panel of plating :

  • Copper

  • White and yellow bronze

  • Silver

  • Black and white rhodium

  • Ruthenium

  • Gold plated : yellow, pink

You can also combine these different plating together. For exemple to do brass gold plating we usually combine copper, bronze and gold plating

The plating is a large and complex subject because there is different legislation depending on the country you want to sell. And you can also in order to adjut the price adjust the tickness

Here is some example of plating tickness and some remark about it but please keep in mind that we don't know all legislation from the different countries and some of them don't have any minimum requirement.Ask us for more information :

  • flash : just for the color on really cheap item. Some people said it must be over 0.25micron

  • 0.5 micron : this one will last a little more longer be we will not recommend it

  • 1 micron : for earring and necklace it would be the minimum tickness we suggest.

  • 2 microns: for the ring and bracelet the minimum

  • 2.5 microns: Minimum tickness in 14K to have Vermeil appellation on silver in the USA

  • 3 microns: Minimum thickness to have the gold plated appellation in France

  • 5 microns : Minimum thickness to have the Vermeil appellation in France

  • 10 microns : Minimum thickness in 10K to have the Vermeil appellation in Canada

What is the difference and why should you have a ticker layer ? Well, mainly for legislation and duration. But you must keep in mind that gold plating is only a plating and after time, depending on the way you use it, you will get under the color of the original material even if it can take years.
