Molds
The mold is created from the negative of the master. The mold is then used to inject wax to create a wax piece which will be used for casting.
There are two main families in which the mold can be produced from:
Silicon
Silicon
Higher definition but shorter lifespan.
Rubber
Rubber
Less definition but longer lifespan.
Depending on the needs of the piece, we will choose which material is best suited for the task. For example, our semi-automated wax injecting system can only use silicon, making it more viable for molds.
Following steps to create a mold:
First covering the master with the rubber
Vulcanize the rubber
Cutting the mold
Once the rubbers are done we can proceed to mass production. The pieces will go to all the traditional steps :
Setting
Polishing
